The Rev. Vernon Hintermeyer
The Rev. Vernon Hintermeyer died May 9, 2008 at home. He was born April 6, 1930 in Eau Claire to Arthur and Laura (Norrish) Hintermeyer, and grew up in Rock Falls, WI. He graduated from Durand High School and Northwestern College in Minneapolis with a Bible major. He married Betty Lou Olson in 1951. After attending Luther Northwestern Theological Seminary and Central Theological Seminary, he served parishes in Nebraska, Wisconsin and Bloomington, MN. After the death of Betty Lou in 1991, he married Joan Finn in 1993. He was survived by his wife, Joan; his children, Judi, Scot, Bruce, and Paul, their spouses; 14 grandchildren; step children, Will Becky, Amy and Joe, and one brother, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Service Friday 11 AM at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church, 12650 Johnny Cake Ridge Rd., Eagan. Visitation at church Thursday 4-8 PM and one hour before service.
