Wednesday, March 14, 2018 - 10:00am to 12:00pm

Newman-Benson Chapel at Lyngblomsten (1415 Almond Avenue, St. Paul)

Are you involved in a caring ministry or a pastoral care team in your congregation? Have you been asked to help support an older adult living with mental illness, but wonder if you have the right attitude, skills, or strength to do this work? Do you live with mental illness and wonder how you can help your congregation be welcoming? Come hear how congregations can offer support and services to members with mental illness and develop the confidence to reach out in love.

Presenter: Rev. Dr. Hollie Holt-Woehl holds a Ph.D. in Pastoral Care and Counseling with particular emphasis on the congregation. She is an Adjunct Professor at Luther Seminary, teaching the course, “Ministry with Persons with Mental Illness and Their Families,” a faculty member of the Minnesota Bowen Systems Institute, and an intentional interim pastor in the Minneapolis Area Synod (ELCA).

Fee: $10 per person or $25 for a group of 3 or more people from the same congregation. If you are signing up as a group, please do so at one time and provide the names of all registrants.

Registration required by March 11 to (651) 632-5330 or 2ndHalf@lyngblomsten.org.
