Public Lecture with Dr. Craig Nessan

Dr. Craig Nessan will present a public lecture at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection on Saturday, October 28 at 7:00 pm.  The lecture is entitled “Who Is Jesus Christ for Us Today? The Significance of Bonhoeffer for the Witness of the Church” , is free and open to the public and will be followed by a light reception, to which all are invited.  Dr. Nessan will then preach in worship on Sunday morning at 9:00 am at Resurrection, and lead the adult forum presentation at 10:30 am, entitled “Reclaiming Luther’s Two Kingdoms as Two Strategies: The Mission of the Gospel in Speaking and Being Christ.”


Dr. Craig L. Nessan is William D. Streng Professor for the Education and Renewal of the Church, Academic Dean, and Professor of Contextual Theology and Ethics at Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He teaches courses in the areas of contextual theology, pastoral theology, and theological ethics. He has oversight of the seminary’s internship program.
