This spring, the Depression Support Coalition and PrairieCare, a University of Minnesota Medical School affiliate, are co-sponsoring a series on “Youth and Mental Health”. Beginning in February and continuing through June, there will be a speaker addressing some aspect of youth and mental health monthly. The series is geared for anyone who lives with or works with children or youth. It’s free and childcare is available.
The Depression Support Coalition’s mission is to inform, educate, support, and cultivate a community of spiritual hope for those affected by depression – as well as their families. Formed in 2009, there are now 14 congregations in the south metro area that are a part of this coalition – including five churches from the ELCA.
Here are the dates of the sessions:
Presentations will all take place at St. Richards Roman Catholic Church – 7540 Penn Ave S. Richfield MN from 7pm – 8:30pm
