Community Engagement Coordinator
The University Lutheran Church of Hope continues to examine ways in which it can participate in God’s ministry particularly within the Marcy-Holmes and Dinkytown neighborhoods. This 20 hr/week position begins in early September 2016 and will seek to find ways the ULCH can participate in God’s ministry to the local community. This Community Engagement Coordinator will cultivate relationships with other local organizations, including Lutheran Campus Ministry, the Dinkytown Business Alliance, and the Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood Association, and partner with these organizations to serve the community. The Community Engagement Coordinator will also invite and support the congregation in understanding and articulating ULCH’s role in God’s work living, serving and being served in the wider community. Education/Experience: Minimum requirement is a bachelor’s degree; theological training is strongly encouraged, but not required. Commitment and Compensation: Twenty (20) hours per week, including three hours on Sunday mornings and a weekly one-hour staff meeting, beginning in early September 2016.
