Choir Director

Peace Lutheran

Peace Lutheran Church of Plymouth seeks a choir director to begin on August 1. This candidate will lead a talented and energetic group of musicians, directing the adult choir and children’s choir. This is a part time position of approximately 7 hours/week, depending on the season, August 1–May 31. Essential Functions: rehearse and conduct Adult and Children Choirs; vocal pedagogical skills appropriate to lead a church choir; select, rehearse and execute music that creatively reinforces worship themes; familiarity with Christian/Lutheran worship, music and liturgy; rehearse with groups on Wednesday evenings September – May; coordinate music purchases with Minister of Music; lead worship on Sunday mornings by directing choir(s) Other Responsibilities; participate in non-Sunday services; supervise organization of the music library; assist with music at weddings and funerals as needed. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in music (or equivalent); 3 years related experience preferred; demonstrates leadership and music expertise. Children's Ministry Intern

Join a vibrant community of families, staff, and volunteers as together we care for the children of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. The Intern would develop, plan, and lead activities for Pre-K to 5th graders during our weekly midweek gathering – "M@P," from 5:15 to 7:15pm, September 2016-December 2016 (with a possibility to extend the position through to May 2017). This work would be supported by of our Children’s and Youth Ministry Coordinator, and by SPARK!, our curriculum resource for children. The Children’s Ministry Intern would also receive the title of Leadership & Creativity Fellow, and a monetary stipend for their service. Youth and Family Minister

Transfiguration Lutheran Church

The Youth and Family Minister works closely with the Associate Pastor and lay leaders to share the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ in inspiring, accessible and authentic ways with the young people and families of the TLC community. Responsibilities include oversight and primary leadership for 5th-8th grade ministries, including confirmation, as well as support and significant leadership for 9th-12th grade ministries. Qualifications include a 2 or 4 year degree, a love of Jesus, a solid understanding of Lutheran theology, a willingness to teach and an openness to learning with and from others. Music and Worship Coordinator and Organist/Pianist

Christiania Lutheran Church, a multi-generational rural ELCA congregation, is seeking a part time Music and Worship Coordinator and a part time Organist/Pianist.  The Music and Worship Coordinator and Organist/Pianist foster the congregation’s faith formation and spiritual growth through music and worship while also supporting the vision, mission, initiative and strategic plan of Christiania. A candidate who can fill both positions is preferred but other qualified applicants will be considered. Successful candidates will have a willingness to share their faith with the congregation through music and personal relationships combined with a solid knowledge of the Lutheran faith and tradition as expressed by the ELCA. House of Prayer is seeking a part-time, 10 hr/week custodian. This position is responsible for the overall cleanliness of House of Prayer physical facilities and to reflect an environment of hospitality for members and visitors. Essential duties include  cleaning (sweep, mop, scrub, vacuum, remove garbage, dust, organize and maintain room set-ups, minor winter snow shoveling) and routine maintenance duties (change light bulbs, minor chair repair or cleaning, battery changes in alarms and other electronics, etc…) in and around the church and on church property.
