Parish Nurse

Date posted: Wednesday 17 January 2018

If you are a Parish Nurse and would like to serve a vibrant ELCA  congregation in Saint Anthony Park, we would welcome you to join our staff! We have about 500 members in our church with many outreach projects and a fine music program for all ages from birth to 99!

We have had a Parish Nurse program since 1999 and have great support from our two pastors and our Care Team Ministry. Our much-loved Parish Nurse has resigned due to health issues.  We would love to fill this position ASAP. St. Anthony Park Lutheran Church (SAPLC) considers its Parish Nurse ministry to be a significant part of the church’s mission in providing spiritual care, health education, support and God’s love to its members. A former Parish Nurse would be available for orientation of a newcomer.

Requirements: 1) Registered Nurse currently licensed in Minnesota (B.S.N. or B.A.N. preferred), 2) Successful completion of a foundations course in parish nursing (ELPNA) or faith community nursing, and 3) Certification in Basic Life Support for Health Professionals.

This would be a 10-hour/week position at $ 21/ hour. If you would like a more detailed description of the position or have any questions, please call Ann Rabie (a former parish nurse here) at 651-644-5660 or email her at arabie@q.com.
