Saint Paul Area Synod -- Evangelical Lutheran Church in America

Stewardship

Gathered to be more than we are separately
Through the sacrament of baptism, each one of us has been gathered in the arms of a loving God…

  • gathered into a loving congregation,
  • gathered into the community of Christians,
  • gathered into the communion of saints.

Connected in mission
Through the sacrament of baptism, each one of us has been connected to our Savior Jesus Christ…

  • connected through the love of God,
  • connected through a church family,
  • connected to people throughout the ages and throughout the continents who proclaim Jesus as Lord and Savior.

Responding to God’s gifts
Through the sacrament of baptism, each of us has received the gift of the Holy Spirit…

  • enabling us to respond to God’s gifts,
  • responding in the way we live,
  • responding in the way we share our resources,
  • responding in the way we care for others and for the world in which we live.

The Saint Paul Area Synod
114 worshiping communities and 157,000 baptized members…

  • connected in mission through the Saint Paul Area Synod,
  • gathered to be more than we are separately,
  • responding to the gifts of God’s grace and abundant life.

Stewardship

  • Stewardship is our thanksgiving for God’s gathering.
  • Stewardship is our rejoicing over God’s connecting.
  • Stewardship is our responding to God’s abundance.
  • Through who we are and what we have,
  • Through how we live and what we give.
