Red Shirt, Pine Ridge Oglala Lakota Indian Reservation, South Dakota. The outdoor gathering will include meditative prayer together three times a day, Bible study, workshops, small group sharing, and meals together, provided by the local Lakota people. The event is meant for young people aged 18-35. Participants will be camping in tents at the site of the meeting.
Something to Sing About is a small-group Bible study coming to Dunn Bros Coffee House in Hugo. For the first three Wednesdays in June, Dr. Charles Puskas, from Living Waters, Lino Lakes, will lead an informal study into the writings of Paul, particularly Paul’s Letter to the Philippians. It is open to the public and free, except for food and beverage. Something to Sing About will be held on June 5, 12, and 19.
Northwestern Hall, Luther Seminary. The AGORA Program at Luther Seminary will be lifted up in prayer and celebration. AGORA formally aligned with the Luther Seminary Global Mission Institute in the fall of 2012 to fulfill the shared mission of equipping congregations and leaders for expanded Christian mission and ministry. The event will begin at Chapel of the Cross in Northwestern Hall at Luther Seminary.
Augsburg College, Minneapolis. How should Christian faith and science relate to one another? Join us as we look at ways of relating science and theology, explore the questions that arise when science and theology meet, and talk about how science and faith constructively interact by looking at examples from specific scientific disciplines. All of this takes place in the classroom and beyond through a series of off-campus community based learning experiences.Cost is $250 (includes housing, meals, and all program activities).
