Online Town Hall Forum With Presiding Bishop Hanson
Aug. 14, 12:30 p.m. The next online Town Hall forum, hosted by ELCA Presiding Bishop Mark S. Hanson, will be a live webcast from Chicago during "Follow Me: Sharing the Gospel in a 2.0 World," an event for ELCA communicators, campus ministry staff, and college/university students. Lutheran Songs Today CD release concert
Aug. 20, 7:00 p.m., Olson Campus Center, Luther Seminary. The Center for Missional Leadership at Luther Seminary presents a CD release concert for Lutheran Songs Today Vol. II. The event features live performances by Dakota Road, Jonathan Rundman, Peder Eide, David Scherer (Agape), Lost and Found, Cathy Pino and others. Lutheran Songs Today is the first unified resource of alternative songs for worship by Lutheran singer-songwriters, featuring sheet music, song CDs, lectionary and scripture worship guidance. Bridgebuilder Training
Aug. 30, 1:30-8:30 a.m., Aug. 31, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Sept. 1, 8:30-11:30 a.m., Luther Seminary, St. Paul. The Bridge Builder Team of the Minneapolis Area Synod is sponsoring a training session for the Bridgebuilder process. Bridgebuilder, developed by Dr. Peter Steinke, is a resource of trained lay and clergy who assist congregations in reconciliation and healing.  The six-step process includes interviews with congregation leaders and other members, interviews with staff, gathering of information and preparations for a follow-up plan.
